Dubai is constantly coming up with impressive new leisure projects and the latest is set to catapult Dubai to the future horseracing capital of the world. The world’s biggest horse racecourse is planned and will be an entire city centered on the racecourse. The new development will feature state of the art tracks, a grandstand with 60,000 capacity, a luxury hotel, restaurants, a museum, a gallery and a canal running from Dubai creek to the racecourse.

The course will be the new home of the Dubai Racing Club and the Dubai World Cup. The project is planned to open in time for the Dubai World Cup 2010 and prize money for the event will be worth $10 million to ensure the best horses in the world will be competing at the launch.

The aim is to create a home to the international horse racing industry and the racing facilities will be outstanding, but the venue has been designed to maximize entertainment all year around. It can stage conferences, concerts, functions, and carry on through the off-season.
