Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan will depart for Mexico on Wednesday for a three-day official visit, the first ever visit of a Turkish foreign minister to Mexico. During the visit, cooperation agreements will be signed establishing the Turkey-Mexico Business Council that will look at ways to increase economic cooperation and bilateral relations between Mexico and Turkey. As both of the countries have been elected by the UN General Assembly to serve as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for a two-year term starting January 1st, 2009, they will also look at ways of cooperating on international issues.
