By air

Located 18km from the city of Ras Al Khaimah, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is fast and efficient, with 27 airlines currently operating flights to destinations covering the Middle East, North & East Africa, Central Asia, India and a large number of CIS destinations. Several European charter flights also land in Ras Al Khaimah Airport.

In line with Ras Al Khaimah’s growing status as an international business and tourist destination, the airport is undergoing massive expansion program with plans for five new terminals being added by 2020. Meanwhile Ras Al Khaimah remains easily accessible from Dubai and Abu Dhabi via The Emirates Highway. Transfer time to Ras al Khaimah from Dubai International Airport is approximately 45 minutes and around 2 hours from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

By road

Three free-flowing dual-carriageways link Ras al Khaimah with the other northern emirates and beyond with travel time to Dubai on the Emirates Highway approximately 45 minutes. Taxis are the most popular means of getting around Ras al Khaimah and are relatively inexpensive. Alternatively, several of the major car hire companies can be found at the airport and in the lobbies of the Ras al Khaimah hotels.

By bus

The RAK Transport Authority operates a public bus service throughout Ras al Khaimah and to the neighbouring emirates of Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. Plans are on track to expand routes to connect Ras al Khaimah with all of the UAE.
