Golf

Ras al Khaimah has 2 exceptional 18-hole golf courses; Al Hamra and Tower Links, suitable for golfers of all abilities. Both offer state of the art facilities and the latest in swing analysis technology as well as the opportunity to play night golf with sections of the courses fully floodlit.

Khatt Hot Springs

Nestling at the foot of Ras Al Khaimah’s magnificent Al Hajjar mountains is the oasis town of Khatt, home to the famous Khatt Springs. Attracting visitors from around the globe with its therapeutic pools and supposed healing properties, the Springs have also become a local tradition.. The spa at Khatt Springs includes private relaxation pools and offers a menu of luxury treatments to indulge in.

Shopping

Formerly known as Julfar, Ras al Khaimah was a major trading centre for centuries and the lively trading tradition continues today in the old souks and bazaars of the old town. On the other side of the creek are the modern shopping malls, akin to those in neighbouring Dubai. Set apart by its breathtaking view of the water front, Al Manar Mall, hosts all the well known retail brands, restaurants and a multiplex cinema. At the heart of the mall is an amphitheatre, popular for the exhibitions and variety shows it stages every weekend.

Camel Racing

Camel racing is an ancient Arabic tradition and occupies the main slot in the sporting calendar of the emirates. Ras al Khaimah is home to one of the liveliest camel racetracks in the UAE and hosts the famous closing festival each year, attracting huge audiences including members of the Ras al Khaimah Royal family.

Al Marjan Island

Inspired by Dubai’s The Palm, Al Marjan Island is set to become Ras al Khaimaj’s first man-made island, expanding the emirate’s coastline by a further 21 kilometres.

Comprising five man-made coral-shaped islands, covering over 2.7 million square metres and extending approximately 2 kilometres into the Arabian Gulf, the development is poised to become an unparalleled leisure destination. It will boast 10 major hotel sites, a marina village, and a water theme park as well as beachfront residential developments such as Pacific, the award winning residential complex located in prime position on the top island.
