Mark Stott, CEO

Mark established Select Property (under the brand name Dubai Select) in 2004 and as CEO has developed it into a unique telephone and web-based business which has delivered a turnover of over half a billion pounds in 4 years, with revenues and profits doubling in each of the last two financial years.

With a clear vision to ensure that the Select Property remains at the forefront of the overseas property investment market, Mark has steered the company to introduce numerous industry ‘firsts’. His pioneering approach, which firmly puts the customer at the heart of its strategy, led to Select Property achieving finalist status in ‘One to Watch’ in the 2006 Fast Growing Business Awards
 
Mark was recently shortlisted as a finalist in the 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and National Business Awards Credit Suisse Entrepreneur of the Year.  He also appears in Crains Manchester Business 40 under 40 2008.

Stephen Blank, Group Planning and Finance Director

Stephen Blank joined Select Property in July 2008 bringing a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience. As ‘Group Planning and Finance Director, Stephen’s focus is to implement forward looking financial systems to ensure resources are in place to support Select Property’s explosive growth. The role encompasses overseeing the planning function of each of the group’s divisions as well as liaison with key financial stakeholders.
 
Stephen is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and joins Select Property following an extremely successful career in high profile roles such as Partner in Binder Hamlyn and Finance Director at Swinton Insurance. Before joining Select Property, Stephen held the position of Finance Director at Generis Technology Limited where he assisted with the successful sale of the business.

Mike Hutchins, Non-Executive Chairman

With over 40 years experience in corporate, commercial and retail positions, Mike Hutchins works across a range of financial and corporate projects, offering strategic and operational experience to support Select Property’s plans for significant growth.
 
Up until his retirement in 2004, Mike, who is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in both England and Scotland, was Managing Director of Retail Banking at The Royal Bank of Scotland, responsible for all Royal Bank of Scotland and Natwest branches across the United Kingdom. Mike’s vision at RBS, was to build a team in order to achieve corporate goals rather than just managing employees.  While providing consultancy services to Select Property from mid 2007 Mike identified the same cultural traits he had worked hard to establish at RBS and ultimately a vision for the business which was too attractive to ignore.
