Deutsche bank relocates top banker to Dubai

In line with the current industry trend Deutsche Bank is to relocate a senior investment banker from London to Dubai to grow its business in the Middle East and the North Africa region.

The Co-head of equity capital markets for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMA) Christopher Laing, is moving to Dubai to reinforce Deutsche Bank's regional equities platform. Deutsche bank has more than 160 staff in Dubai and 200 staff in the region.

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has attracted about 600 companies over the past four years to facilitate the growth of the financial industry in Dubai. Another bank, Swiss bank UBS, confirmed last week it was relocating six people to Dubai.
