Turkey rise in FIFA world ranking list
The Turkish national football team have had a good few weeks, qualifying for the semi-finals in Euro 2008 and now rising in the world ranking list by six places.
According to the world ranking list announced by FIFA, Turkey has risen six levels and ranks 14th in the list, one spot above the UK who ranked 15th. Spain ranks the first in the world ranking list for the first time in its history after its success at the European Championships.
