Turkey Supports International Environmental Projects
Turkey supports international environmental projects according to Turkey’s environment minister.
The Minister for the Environment & Forestry said that Turkey was backing international environment-friendly energy projects like renewable energy, the International Polar Year Project (a large scientific programme focused on the Arctic and the Antarctic from March 2007 to March 2009), and a Mediterranean countries project to monitor deforestation.
Turkey will also be a party to the global climate pact, the Kyoto Protocol, after it is adopted at the Turkish parliament.
