Turkey to attract more Foreign Investment
Mehmet Simsek the economy minister has said that the government is determined to make Turkey an attractive centre for investments. He also attaches great importance to the improvements of investmentn conditions for the private sector.
Simsek said that investment in Turkey has a $270 billion foreign trade volume and an approximately $111 billion total in Foreign Direct Investment. This was said at a meeting for the Coordination Board for Improving Investment Conditions (YOIKK) with participation from public and private sector representatives.
Simsek said that the economy and social welfare of the country depends on the implementation of measures that increase global competitiveness and efficiency. "On this point the YOÝKK's efforts are a good example of public private cooperation and dialogue," he said.
