Turkish novelist Pamuk releases new novel
The Nobel Prize in Literature in 2006 was awarded to Orhan Pamuk from Turkey . The world-famous Turkish novelist has recently released his latest novel "Masumiyet Muzesi", (the Museum of Innocence).
Pamuk worked for five years on the "Museum of Innocence", which he said was a flamboyant romance. The focus of the story is an obsessive love affair and explores the big question of what love really is.
"Masumiyet Muzesi" is not only a novel, but also the name of the unopened museum Pamuk has been trying to establish in the Cukurcuma district of Istanbul. Pamuk visited lots of museums around the world while researching the novel to see how personal belongings were showcased at these museums. The museum will exhibit several objects which are portrayed in the novel.
