More than 70 percent of construction of the Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech), a center for science-related research and production, is ahead of the scheduled June 2007 date of completion.
DuBiotech is drawing top names in global pharmaceutical and biotechnology. Already 22 companies have been issued licenses, and 15 more are in the process of being licensed. Space will be available by the second quarter of 2008.
Begun nearly two years ago, DuBiotech will be the center for research, production, creativity and development for pharmaceutical and biotechnology in the United Arab Emirates. The park will consist of twin towers that will house sales and marketing offices for companies and laboratories for companies to conduct research without having to build their own facilities.
Construction of DuBiotech is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2008.
