Dubai once again demonstrated its popularity as a destination for business and leisure tourists from around the world by bagging two influential awards in the United Kingdom. Dubai, with its widely expanding tourism industry, remains one of the leading source markets for tourists globally.
At the Irish Travel Trade News Awards, Dubai was voted as the â€œbest destination for Middle East and Africaâ€. Meanwhile, the popular Emirate also acquired a second award recognising the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM)â€™s travel trade training programme, which was announced at the Travel Weekly event.
Approximately 700,000 tourists from across the UK visit Dubai annually. The Director of DTCMâ€™s UK and Ireland, Ian Scott, also highlighted that the future for Dubai is equally as exciting as its past, with an impressive line-up of new developments soon to be announced.
