A new report from the Emirate of Dubai shows that the value of the UAE health care market is expected to increase from AED11.73 billion in 2005 to AED43.73 billion in 2015. This report also highlights that as the domestic per capita GDP increases; UAE’s health care market will undergo a rapid transformation as demand for health care grows in the region.
The healthcare market in the Middle East as a whole is also experiencing growth, partly because of changing demographics, growth in population and partly due to the governments in the region investing heavily in infrastructure.
Dubai is also investing into developing its healthcare market and has recently taken to promote its medical tourism industry. The Emirate’s cosmetic surgery is already well known to attract foreign visitors from across the world.
