Capital Stores has revealed it will expand in Greater Manchester after taking over a warehouse unit in Trafford Park.
The online retailer has signed a lease for five years at the 25,990 sq ft space, Insider Media reports.
It will be charged £5 per sq ft for Unit 10 on Centenary Park, with the letting being arranged by Colliers International and Riddell TPS. It was conducted on behalf of the Duchy of Lancaster, which is the Queen’s Private Estate, according to the north-west.
The expansion for the retailer, which sells caravan and motorhome equipment – including TVs, fishing tools and satellite navigation systems – is a good sign for the region
As more companies choose to base themselves in the area, this is a good indicator that Greater Manchester is becoming an important business and commercial hub. With the city continuing to expand, it will continue to offer more for professionals and students living in Manchester.
Capital Stores was launched in 2006 and, since then has grown from selling around 50 outdoor products to becoming one of the biggest retailers in electronics, computing, home and garden, sports, leisure and automotive equipment in the UK.
