Select Property Group enjoyed a successful 2014, with Vita Student generating investment returns and becoming the country’s leading student accommodation brand.
- Five new developments fully sold and now fully occupied
- Continued expansion of the workforce resulted in three relocations to larger offices
- 2015 sees the launch of the Group’s second property brand
2014 was a year that saw Select Property Group complete and fully let five new residences, relocate to three new offices and launch two new websites.
We began the year by reaching the 9,000-property sold milestone and have completed the revolutionary transition from being a well-respected retailer of prime property opportunities to being a creator of market-leading property brands.
Our first brand Vita Student launched its seventh, eighth and ninth investment opportunities in Southampton, Sheffield and most recently Newcastle in August. The following month saw the brand hold its first grand opening weekend as residences in Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Exeter and Southampton joined The Chapel in welcoming 1,000 student tenants.
It was a huge achievement and the student accommodation investment brand is now able to assure investors of a track record of 100% occupancy across all of its completed developments.
As the year draws to a close, Vita Student is nearing 1,700 units sold and already has a waiting list of over 2,000 students for the 2015 academic year.
Away from Vita Student, rapid expansion of the business and a doubling of the workforce resulted in relocations at three of our global offices. A new bespoke building now houses our head office in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, while the London sales team moved into a Berkeley Square office. In Dubai, the UAE team moved to larger offices in the central Marina Plaza Building.
We also expanded our online presence with the launch of www.SelectPropertyGroup.com – a dedicated corporate website to explain the group’s revolutionary approach and the benefits of aligning property investment with customer satisfaction – and www.MyDubaiProperty.ae to cater for investors interested in property across the UAE and surrounding areas.
Throughout the course of the year the Group was regularly acknowledged by its peers, picking up numerous nominations and accolades. Highlights included winning the OPP Best Student Housing Project and Best Student Broker awards, as well as being named as a finalist in the Residential Investment Agency of the Year category at the RESI Awards.
With the launch of our second property brand CitySuites to come at the start of 2015, the next 12 months look set to be equally successful.
